Youth Songbook
For years, I struggled to find a songbook that had the
wonderful songs we learned at youth rallies, Christian colleges, or on youth
retreats. So, I began writing down the songs in order to create this
tool for singing to God.
Each of the formats below may be downloaded. The
Word format will allow you to customize the songbook for your youth group.
You can add your youth logo, information, customized numbering, and
CCLI
number.
Feel free to use the document in the best way to promote your youth singing
praise to God. [help with customizing?]
Note on Copyrights: I have
attempted to find the copyrights for these songs but have not had tremendous
success since most of the songs were compiled merely from memory or from
singing at a youth rally. If you should know of a copyrighted song,
please let me know so I may add that in the songbook for legal purposes.

PowerPoint Slides
All of the songs that are included in the
Youth Songbook (above) are on these slides. They are basic formatting
but are large enough for a congregation to easily see them.
The .ppt format below may be downloaded. This
file will allow you to open the slides in PowerPoint and customize them for your
use.
You can add your youth logo, information, customized numbering, and

Transparencies
The songs that are included in the Youth
songbook above have been made into transparencies. These
transparencies may be used on overhead projectors so youth groups or
congregations may use the songs easier during worship.

CCLI Copyright Licenses

Almost every Christian song used in worship
has been copyrighted by the writer/composer of the song. Since these
songs have been copyrighted, they cannot be legally copied or used without
permission from the copyright holder. CCLI is an organized copyright
system used to distribute the royalties to the copyright holders.
Churches can pay an annual fee to CCLI for the right to use the copyrighted
songs. This is one of the easiest ways to legally use the songs youth
groups love to sing. The yearly fee is based on the regular attendance
for a congregation/youth group.

Youth Directory
Youth Website/Message Board
Many youth programs are trying
to set up online bulletin boards or websites for youth groups to use.
The websites usually have calendars, materials, forms and other tools to
keep your group updated for events and information. Although many
church websites can create special pages for youth workers, they are not
always easily updated by youth ministers, leaders or parents when those
working with youth do not have the ability to edit web pages. A great
(and FREE) solution is to use a FREE Yahoo! Groups website.
A
Yahoo! Groups page allows the administrator of the website easy freedom and
access to change the youth website. The administrator has the ability
to "invite" only youth group members to have access to the website.
Members of the Yahoo! Groups page can read and reply to group messages,
start new discussions, share photos with group members in a photo album,
coordinate events for your group with a shared calendar, ask members how
they feel about any topic and create a poll to record their thoughts, and
upload files and other information for members to access online.

Forms
for Youth Work (Permission forms, medical
release, etc)
Many youth workers look for help in creating
forms for their groups. These forms have been used in the past to help
youth workers be organized and covered in cases of emergencies. The
forms are in two formats (.pdf and .doc) so youth workers can get youth
group members to fill them out online or with a computer (with Adobe Acrobat
Reader) or print them out to fill out. Click on the link below to go
to the forms webpage.

Youth Rallies
There are many youth rallies around the
country that encourage youth groups to worship God according to scripture
and edify one another. Youth rallies cna be one of the best ways to
build unity within a group while exposing them to other Christians who are
facing the same trials in their lives. Below are a few that I have
found that are great (they are in teh southeast area of the U.S.). I
am sure there are others and would be more than happy to hear about them if
you would contact me. If I can get enough
info about them, I would be more than happy to post them online for others
to see.
Exposure Youth Camp [www.exposureyouthcamp.net].
Exposure began in 1998 by
congregations in AL, GA and TN. This youth rally always occurs from
December 27-30 of each year in Huntsville, Alabama. The speakers are
always good and you can be sure that the materials used are according to the
Bible. Teens are encouraged to study the Bible and worship as the
Bible has commanded. Visit the website for pictures, schedules and
speaker information.
Challenge Youth
Conference (CYC) [www.cyconline.com].
I believe this youth rally started as an alternative to the more
liberal Winterfest. CYC usually occurs during February and takes place
in Gatlinburg, TN. This excellent youth rally brings Christians from
all over the Southeast to gather together for wonderful fellowship and
worship.
